Kevin’s contribution to Handball in Australia spanned four decades consisting of work both on and off the court. Introduced in 2000 in honour of the late Kevin McKay, the Kevin McKay award was formally announced. Known prior as the Best Player apart from the Champions, the Kevin McKay award was to be received to the most outstanding player in the O’Connor Cup National team competition event. This award has been donated by John Marsh (NSW) and Mick Kiley (SA).
