John Black
John Black is a former Australian Wallball player from Melbourne, Victoria who was known for his reliable and clean backcourt play. John was a tall and athletic player, standing at 6’5″ which gave him a significant advantage on the court.
Black’s legacy is best illustrated through his 2 Open Double’s titles partnered with Chris King. He was a great complementary player and could step up if required. John had a strong backcourt game, and was able to hit winners with consistency.
John today still shows up for the National 3-Wall titles and sings the national anthem for the Open Singles final event. He’s a much respected and well liked person within the Wallball Australia community and is etched into a long history.
